Yeah, the eye damage is very slight but it's still there.
I'm sitting at home with COVID right now and looking through all my
flashlamps trying to figure out what will work. No luck so far.
But, I do have:
This 6 odd inch Nd:YAG rod with pump chamber and probably matching mirrors
on mounts, with AR coated ends and no defects
1 6.35mm x 55mm Nd:Glass rod with integral mirrors
2 Cr,Th,Ho:YAG rods, 4mm x 125mm, one with a chipped end and the other
looks OK. Supposedly has AR coated ends.
1 6mm x 50mm Ce,Nd:YAG rod, does not appear to have integrated mirrors but
may have AR coated ends.
1 russian flashlamp, INP3-7/80, with the dicroic coating to filter for
Nd:YAG or Nd:Glass pumping while minimizing heating effects. (Unfortunately
the OD is too big to fit the mostly-complete cavity)
5 Aerovox 2300V DC, 115uF energy discharge capacitors
1 Maxwell 5kV DC, 35uF energy discharge capacitor
A room with no windows, And a few pairs of laser safety goggles...none of
which would be protective against any of the wavelengths the above laser
parts could generate!
A good start, but still missing a few parts.
